In their home office of Springville, Utah, DecisionWise employs 40 staff members. They average around 300 projects a year and maintain between 300 and 400 clients at a time. Their clients range from small organizations of 10 employees to larger organizations with 100+ employees.
DecisionWise is led by Dr. Tracy Maylett, CEO. Matthew Wride runs DecisionWise’s day-to-day operations and oversees the company’s professional relationship with i.t.NOW. After unsatisfactory experiences with 2 different IT providers, DecisionWise began partnering with i.t.NOW in 2019.
i.t.NOW handles the company’s network administration and configuration, help desk functionality, and general technical support.
“Their level of employee skill and professionalism outpaces anything else we’ve experienced. They track things really well. Our tickets don’t just go into the ether—stuff always gets solved,” Wride commented. “They keep at it until there is resolution. I know that when we submit a ticket, i.t.NOW will solve it.”
At the beginning of their partnership with i.t.NOW, DecisionWise was interested in getting on a completely cloud-based active directory, hoping to do it virtually through Azure. When i.t.NOW assessed the situation, they told DecisionWise that it wasn’t the right move.
“At the end of the day I really liked their answer because they told us what we could and couldn’t do, and I felt confident that I was getting the right answer,” Wride said. “We had been told so many times that we could do all of the things we wanted, but it never happened. With i.t.NOW I knew that I had gotten the right answer.”
After listening to the company’s needs and discussing the pros and cons of different options, i.t.NOW set DecisionWise up with a server in their server room. Their expertise and critical thinking provided DecisionWise with a better solution than the one they had in mind.
